Lusomorango, the largest Portuguese producer organization in the fruit and vegetable sector, and the Catholic University of Portugal will promote a cycle of conferences dedicated to contributing to the realization of a strategic vision for agrifood in Portugal, with Jornal Económico as a media partner. .
The “Know to Decide, Plan to Act” cycle includes four thematic conferences, held weekly and transmitted by JE's multimedia platform
TV (www.jornaleconomico.pt). This cycle of conferences "intends to contribute with a global strategic vision, integrating the entire agri-food value chain into reflection in the various geographical perspectives", explains the chairman of the board of directors of Lusomorango, Luís Pinheiro.
The first conference will take place on Wednesday, March 24, starting at 15:45 pm and has the theme “Knowledge and innovation in the decade of the digital transition”. At the opening, will be attended by the Minister
Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes; the president of the Portuguese Farmers' Confederation, Eduardo Oliveira e Sousa; the vice-chairman of the Millennium BCP executive committee, João Nuno Palma; and Luís Pinheiro.
The speaker will be António Câmara, professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and will have the presentation of two case studies, by Rick van de Zedde, professor at the University of Wageningen; and Joep van de Bosch, CIO at Ridder.
The conference will include a round table that will bring together Daniel Ribeiro, partner of Hidrosoph; Amândio Santos, Portugalfoods adviser, and Ondina Afonso, president of the Clube de Produtores Continente. The moderation will be in charge of Shrikesh Laxmidas and Ricardo Santos Ferreira, deputy director and editor of JE, respectively
The initiative will conclude with a final comment, by Nuno Canada, president of the National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research.
